AlphaSmart Pro, I’ve…

AlphaSmart Pro, I’ve got an AlphaSmart Pro off of eBay and it’s pretty neat. You can use it to type anywhere has long battery life and it has, it can run on double A batteries and it didn’t come with the cord though. I should have paid more attention to the listing on eBay but it’s just of a simple cord so I found the cord that it should work for it, PS/tube cord, boot(?) in(?) custody(?) mail(?) and I think that should work to connect it to the computer. So, we’ll see when I get that cord, if it works or not but anyways, it was interesting to get it and it was cheap. So(?). listen

Successfully upgraded…

Successfully upgraded RAM.
I just upgraded the RAM in this Compaq Compu escort. I took some old RAM out of a Gateway and I think it was about 128 MB, that was 2 chips and they look like they’re probably 64 MB each so then I put it into this Compaq and that should give me, it originally had 128 MB in it so with that it will have 256 which should be enough for Ubuntu Linux. listen

Upgrading RAM. I’m upgrading…

Upgrading RAM. I’m upgrading the RAM in this compact that I’ve got, it is an old compact and has told me 128 mega bytes for RAM, and I’m gonna upgrade it using some RAM from an old gateway computer that I’ve got here. So, I’m doing that and then I gonna post again probably to say whether not it, work out or not. So, if I can get this up to list down, I think it’s a 192 mega bytes are be good so I’ll add another 64 mega bytes. listen

Apple Performa 575, I have an old Apple Performa 575. I’m(?) missing(?) isn’t just old, it’s ancient and when it comes to a computers, anyway(?), and the I think we got it from a garage sale or something like that about 10, 15 years ago and even then it was pretty old and I’m looking at it now. I’m gonna be taking it apart and(?) checking out the different components and everything. Just as(?) the(?) fun, a(?) nerd(?) experiment. So, that’s what I’m up to. listen

Libraries versus the…

Libraries versus the internet, part 3. Well libraries have some of those advantages when it comes to the quality of the information. The internet beats the libraries when it comes to stretchability by foreign light, while indexing of information and card catalogs are decent in finding some information. finding wast [] information. For example being able to search the contents of books something that really with libraries is not really possible, but when you [...] it is impossible because we the it should be, when you look at on the internet you can search for basic specific information. listen

Libraries versus the internet, part 4. So we have this few things the libraries and the internet and we’re talking now about search and finding the information you want and it can be difficult when your talking about library because it’s hard to find very specific information that might be inside of one particular book. But when it comes to the library’s preempted Dewey Decimal System and it has a–, because of the ability to find books by their category and that’s one thing that she saw with libraries with(?), when you wanna get–. listen

TTITT. Put things in…

TTITT. Put things in there places, something that I learned from Benjamin Franklin is putting things in there places system. A habit of putting things back where they belong as soon as you’re done with them. Having a place for everything and everything in it’s place so, what I’m doing today is I’m going to all my old papers and I’m putting them into some kind of order. I won’t be able to get to do all of them today but I have a system for organizing everything. This is what I call an e-mail list my system for organizing everything and involves binders and notebooks. So, I’ll be posting about that in the future but today I’m putting everything into that system that was still left outside of it. listen

Libraries versus the…

Libraries versus the Internet Part II. I think that libraries when it comes to the quality of the free information that they give you, the depth and portability that libraries beat the Internet in a lot of ways. It’s very easy to get bogged down when you’re trying to find free information on the Internet that’s relevant and comprehensive, a lot of little tidbits, a lot of stuff that’s shallowly scratching the surface when you’re looking for something all in one place, but when you go to the library, you pick up a book on a certain subject, there’s a lot of good information there that you won’t find online. listen

Libraries versus internet….

Libraries versus internet. It’s interesting to compare libraries and internet and say which one is the better source of the information, I think when it comes to quality information that the library is going to be a better bet. The idea of public libraries lending libraries was most likely started by Benjamen Franklin and it’s interesting to read in his auto biography about how they started one which is clubb the Junpo, but libraries have always been a place that I like to go get free information, check out books learn and… listen
